Her Path

Lorena Martínez is a Colombian filmmaker and audiovisual creator based in Manizales. Her path into cinema has been shaped by a rare combination of creative practice, business development, and long-term project building.

Before focusing more fully on film and visual storytelling, she built a strong foundation in entrepreneurship as founder of Zafiro Coffee, a project she has led since 2014.

Since 2021, she has also been part of Astra Music, where she now serves as Audiovisual Director. In 2024, she is credited in that role, and between 2025 and 2026 she is developing 40 video pieces for Deep Ocean Records as part of the relaunch of its music catalog.

Alongside this professional work, she has been developing her own film language through studies in Cinematographic Direction, Audiovisual Editing and Narrative for Short Film, Professional Audiovisual Montage, and technical training in Filmmaker at La Lumière in Córdoba, Argentina.

Her background also includes a degree in Food Engineering from Universidad de Caldas, as well as training in business models, exporting, supply chains, and entrepreneurship. At Lorenafilms, she develops audiovisual projects shaped by intention, clarity, and a search for essence.
